Caffeine is one of the greatest contributors to estrogen dominance and fibroid growth and sustenance. Alongside its running mates, alcohol and soda, coffee is the number one medium for the entry of nitrogen into the body, through a liquid. Nitrogen is a known toxin that has to be constantly filtered out of the body through the liver. The liver also metabolizes and filters out estrogen (which is the catalyst and source of fibroids), so that it can be eliminated through the urea cycle. The habitual consumption of caffeine and/or alcohol overwhelms the liver causing excess strain and a plethora of other complications and conditions, such as auto-immune diseases, which compromise the liver’s effectiveness in ridding the body of the estrogen.
