Liquid fasting has been shown in studies to decrease lipid peroxidation. This is the process by which free radicals “steal” necessary electrons from the lipids in cell membranes, which results in cell damage.
Liquid fasting also increases nitric oxide concentration. Nitric oxide is a well-known vasodilator, meaning it improves arterial flexibility. This is the best detox I have done so far. I only had one wobbly day on day 3 which I managed to get through with the coconut water. I was still able to work out (low impact) and play netball for the duration. Days 8 to 14 were the best, I felt great and could not believe that I had not been eating and I even considered doing another week. I finished on day 14 and when Weight myself the next morning I had lost 19 pounds what a result! I am now on Day 4 of the re-assimulation plan. I would definetly do this detox again and recommend it.
